GASOLINE is a post Tresspasser Dragon Age: Inquisition roleplay set in 9:50 Wintermarch, Dragon. The Inquisition has been disbanded, refusing to bend knee to the Chantry. Solas knows to much about the inquisition anyways- their weaknesses, fears, names, who their families are. He could use this information to his advantage if they were to revolt against him. He plans on destroying the world, creating a new one in his perfect image. Release the Evanuris, bring the world back to the time of the elves. But, unknown to most of the world, Solas is slowly becoming corrupted- and rumors of the sixth blight and a new archdemon emerging are lose on the tongues of spies and maids alike. The new Inquisition, under it's new alias, works diligently from the shadows and away from the eyes of nobility and the hierarchy of Orlais and Ferelden to gain information and armies to combat this new threat on the horizon. The fate of Thedas is in your hands- what role will you play in it's future? Will you be the light in the storm, or the gasoline that helps it to burn?

The spasms were getting worse. It was becoming harder for Kieran to control them, and he almost completely lost himself to the descent to madness that was caused by losing the tainted soul of the old god that was a part of his soul for so long. He almost hurt Anima- something that he would greatly hate himself for if he had ever physically harmed her. The last potion he created didn’t help his blight, it only made it worse. So, now Kieran was traveling the waking world for more ingredients- ingredients he didn’t have access to in the Fade. He instructed Anima to stay in the Fade, he couldn’t risk her getting hurt and he wasn’t about to put her in harms away again. He knew she was strong enough to travel to the waking world with her current form, but he didn’t trust himself to be around her in his current state. He knew she was upset with him for making her stay in the Fade, but he hoped she understood.

It was strange, being back in the waking world- it seemed even stranger the second time he returned since he was alone on this journey. If he really wanted to, he could always procure a corpse for a companion, but he didn’t want to waste his mana on a companion that would provide less than acceptable company. In this second journey to the waking world he almost missed Anima’s company. She was refreshing, bright, and a presence that Kieran greatly appreciated, if not loved. Even though he was only twelve, he could already tell that there were some unspoken feelings between him and the spirit- even though he knew that nothing could ever come from such emotions. It’s not like she could grow old with him, grow into adulthood, have children, have a family.

Shaking those thoughts from his head, why would a twelve-year-old think of such things, he finally found one of the ingredients he had recently run out of stock of: royal elf root. He always enjoyed this particular plant. The shimmering hues of blue and purple paired nicely with the pale green stem and leaves. Plucking the leaves from the stem, he removed all the leaves from the plant before gripping at the base of the stem that barely peaked out from the soil and pulled, uprooting the plant. Shaking away the dirt that clung to the roots, he placed it in his satchel. Now his next ingredient to find was drakestone- something that was abundant in the particular forest he trudged through.

Finding a cliff clearing that had an abundance of drakestone hidden in its face, he used his spirit magic to give him the ability to cling to the rock without losing his balance or grip. With one hand he held to a rock protruding from the edge of the cliff, and with the other hand he mined the stone- green embers flickering on his fingertips as he removed the ruby stone from the rocky terrain. Using the remaining stored mana in his supply he lowered himself to the ground below the cliff, brushing dust from his cloak after his feet were planted firmly against the earth. Placing the drakestone in his satchel, he inspected his wares and newly acquired ingredients.

Pleased with his findings, he began to walk back towards the hidden eluvian deep in the forest of the Wilds. As he made his way back to his hiding spot, he saw a familiar head of raven hair and his blood ran cold. He could recognize her physique anywhere- despite not having seen his mother for what seemed like years. She was currently with a man, and from his potion I looked like she was being assaulted by the man. Gritting his teeth together, he slowly stalked towards the two. He knew he shouldn’t interfere, he knew that she could handle herself, he knew that she shouldn’t see him- not in his current state; but, something in the deepest parts of his soul was telling him to intervene.

Using his magic now that his mana was partly restored, he moved himself between the two, using his magic to force the man back away from his mother. ”Remove your hands from my mother you scoundrel, less you want me to remove them for you.” Kieran growled, neon green embers flickered against his fingertips as his eyes reflected his mother’s in color- turning a bright topaz color as his anger began to boil to the surface.
