But, unknown to most of the world, Solas is slowly becoming corrupted- and rumors of the sixth blight and a new archdemon emerging are lose on the tongues of spies and maids alike. The new Inquisition, under it's new alias, works diligently from the shadows and away from the eyes of nobility and the hierarchy of Orlais and Ferelden to gain information and armies to combat this new threat on the horizon. The fate of Thedas is in your hands- what role will you play in it's future? Will you be the light in the storm, or the gasoline that helps it to burn?

It had been almost a week since she started stalking this perfect specimen of a human being. Lorelai had found her way to Antiva City, eager to see the other riches that this vast land had to offer, before she was sentenced to a war with the Evanuris, one that would hopefully end in them all meeting their deaths, with the demons ruling these pathetic mortals. Stepping into a bakery, the demon in her had growled, sensing something amiss in the quaint little shop. As she stepped up to the counter, the man behind it had smiled, and Lorelai was able to taste the madness coming from him in a fragrant scent. There was something off about this human, something...delicious, and it seemed much worse than what she had scented in Jules. Something was...wrong with this human, but in a way that made her blood race, the hair on the back of her neck standing up with quiet energy. Perusing his wares, she finally ordered a simple loaf of bread, but on her way out, she passed a customer chomping away on a meat pie. The smell of the food hit her nose, and instantly her eyes had flashed purple. Something was in those pies...something that shouldn't be.

Since then, she had spent the last week following him, in order to learn more about this mysterious pervert. So far, she had lost him a few times, as he clung to the shadows better than anyone else she had met, and her new tiny body sometimes made it hard to keep up, but tonight she had him. He was stalking a woman, and they were approaching the tree line, with plenty of places for her to spy. Lorelai circled around where he and the woman would not see her, and climbed up into a tree, perching on a slim branch that could handle her small body weight, watching from this new vantage point with her head tilted slightly, like a predator studying its prey. She heard every word, heard the malice in his voice, but she also heard the insanity, and the joy. It was...entertaining to say the least, and more invigorating than anything else she had seen in the humans. Even Jules had his limits but this human....no...he was different, tainted in a way that Jules was not, and for different reasons. Jules was the way he was because of his childhood - this man on the other hand...just...lost it.

The woman ran from him, down the path and her heart beat erratically with a start when the male howled, letting out a maniacal laugh and announcing the game had begun. Ah, so he liked games? Lorelai was eager to join him in this revelry, but she would not reveal herself, not yet. She wanted to see what decisions he would make on his own. He disappeared and Lorelai marveled in the way he was able to melt into the shadows - there one second and gone the next. The woman turned around, looking for him, confused as to why he was nowhere in sight. Lorelai could smell the fear on her, she could taste the sweat and the salt from the tears running down her face. The snot, on the other hand, was disgusting and Lorelai did not want to taste that. He whistled, a beautiful musical melody which rang in Lorelai's ears. Who was this magical mystery man?

In a blink, he was suddenly there, and he grabbed her from behind, snapping his hand over her mouth. Her muffled screams drifted up to Lorelai, music to her ears, and she watched with bated breath, salivating at the chaos and terror this man was causing. His hands roamed her body and Lorelai felt the lust rise up, wondering what kind of a lover this man would make - no doubt a fun one, one who would have no qualms about trying...different things. He let go and Lorelai watched in disappointment as the woman dropped to her knees, beginning for her life. Ah, she hated it when they turned to 'mercy'. She preferred when they fought and struggled - the harder the fight, the better they tasted. He cackled in the still night and grabbed her hair, pulling her up to stand roughly. Lorelai felt the fire rising in her, and she had to fight herself to stay in place, to watch the festivities and not join in.

A curved, wicked dagger was brought out, glinting in the moonlight, and Lorelai bit her bottom lip, waiting. He dragged it down her cheek, the woman screaming in pain. Then, he moved to her neck, slicing into it deeply, but not enough to kill her, not yet. Then, with a plunge, he sank it into her abdomen, over and over, as she screamed, struggling, her body writhing and seizing with the pain and shock. Falling to the ground, she gasped for air, all while the dark crimson liquid pooled around her, staining her pale skin, and forming eddies all over the path. She could smell the copper, taste the tang of that blood, and Lorelai breathed it all in, sweet as candy. Kneeling down beside her, he caressed her face almost lovingly, before pressing the blade into her eye and carving it out - a prize for all of his hard work. Lorelai's mouth dropped open in fascination, even more interested in what secrets this young lad held. The woman's body fell limp as her fight gave out and as he set to work on the other eye, Lorelai giggled, the crazy laughs bubbling to the surface as she felt his own psychotic emotions roiling off him in a torrential hurricane.

He had licked the blood, tasting it, as if he enjoyed the taste, and Lorelai had lost control of her composure. What a delightful human, only he was no longer human. No...he was a monster. “Come out, come out, wherever you are.” That melodious voice sang up to her, and she dropped down from the branch, landing on the hard path in a squat before straightening up, her purple eyes illuminating the dimly lit area. "My, my, what an interesting little bird you are." Her head tilted to the side, the seductive smile twisting up her lips. Before he could move, she raised a hand, her power lashing out as she seized control of his blood. She didn't want this crazy little monster making any rash decisions, as she would hate to kill someone with so much maniacal potential. Keeping her eyes trained on him, she stepped closer, eyes raking over him as she scented his soul, wanting to devour it whole but stopping herself, for he might be more fun while alive.

She paced around him, before stopped in front of him, her hand still outstretched, keeping him frozen in place. Her eyes bore into his, mirroring the craziness that resided that, and she reached out, grabbing the knife from his hand before licking the blood off, her lips stained with the cherry juice. "If I let you go, do you promise to behave, little snake?"

Instantly, Lorelai could tell that beneath that madness he was wise. He did not intend to attack her, even though her use of blood magic clearly disgusted him, as was evident in his crazy eyes. Perhaps he could sense the kindred soul inside her, like calling to like, the way other demons found each other so swiftly, feeling that darkness within. Lorelai might call it fate, if she believed in that, but she believed she created her own fate, with a few minor setbacks from outside forces. “You have my word, love. It would be a waste to murder such a pretty face, now wouldn’t it?” Lorelai released her hold on him, satisfied with his response. He was intriguing and despite her worst judgment (not better for this was a fantastic decision) she was inclined to entertain him for the evening. He certainly seemed as if he could show her a good time, and while it was not the sex that she usually searched for in terms of pleasure, torture was another thing she found enjoyable. And while Jules seemed to have limitations in the way he killed people, namely he preferred to kill them swiftly, this male apparently enjoyed himself, carving at their bodies like they were a piece of meat.

He bowed at her and Lorelai almost started laughing at the comicness of it - he was funny. "Lorelai." She curtsied in response, a gleeful smile on her face the whole time at the fake courtly manners. Hm, she might even like this human better than Jules, for different reasons of course. Jules was...unlike anyone else she had ever met. He lit a fire inside her, one that had never surfaced before, and the more time she spent with him, the more she wanted to claim his soul, or just his body, which she had already done, but she enjoyed doing the same thing multiple times granted that it kept her interested. He put away the blood-flecked dagger and Lorelai made a note that he did not even bother to clean the metal. Lovely, the stench of his past victims would remain on the blade long after he had last heard their screams. Lorelai smiled in return, looking toward the discarded body. "I did in fact. You certainly know how to entertain a stunning woman." Her teeth flashed, a gesture that could be taken as menacing, given that her partner was afraid of her, but he was not, even after she had frozen him with her blood magic. Oh yes, she definitely liked this human. How had the demons missed all of these deranged souls, ready to join them without even having to worry about corrupting them by placing a demon inside their bodies?

"The little things are what brings joy to the heart." Lorelai circled the dead body, admiring his handiwork. He an artist, although these other mortals would not recognize his talents for what they truly were. - magic. "It is like music to my ears. The screams - the cries of terror, the sound they make when they experience the pain wrought to their bodies. It is a beautiful song, one that I do not wish to end." He suddenly held out an arm to her, offering her to partake on his journey of suffering, and she was so tempted to take it, to see the world as he saw it through his deranged eyes. This mortal was special, someone who would have worshiped her kind back in the old days, and she considered revealing her true nature, but no. That could wait for another time. No doubt he would accept it with open arms as Jules did. A pang hit her heart when she thought of Jules, a feeling that was so foreign to her it almost made her recoil in pain. Lorelai buried it deep, loosing her thoughts of him until they disappeared in the night breeze, not wanting to think about her strange friendship with that delectable human.

Taking his arm with her own slender appendage, she smiled at him, charm oozing out of every pore of her skin. "But of course, darling. I long to know the secret of what makes your pies so delicious." She already has a suspicion, but it needed to be confirmed by the maker himself. Lorelai strongly suspected that he put human body parts in his creations, and the fact that he had taken those eyeballs only solidified her thoughts. But she wanted to hear it from his own mouth. Jules would never reach this level of craziness, the level that generally only demons could reach. It was refreshing - to find a mortal who could think just as she did, in such a demented way that others would label him as an extreme aberration of normal behavior. She did not eat the mortals, but tasting their souls gleaned enough, and the fact that he fed his victims to his customers only stoked the fire within her, begging to be released. Lorelai looked at him, grinning, her white teeth flashing in the stark white moonlight. "I would very much enjoy both of your options, although I do love to wreak havoc." She laced her nails into his skin, her eyes having shifted permanently to the that purple light for the night. "You intrigue me, mortal. I have known you only a few moments and I already find myself growing fond of you." Let him know she was a demon. She could open his eyes to whole new world of torture and pain.

Lorelai flashed her teeth at him in a beaming smile, relishing in the compliment. "Naturally." She never died her true self - she was beautiful, conniving, manipulative, and she could charm her way in or out of any situation. She considered those strengths and traits that just made her more alluring to mortals. Jaq pulled her closer to his side and she could not help the evil grin that planted itself across her lips. He rested on a bench as the sky roared ahead, indicating a storm was near. Lorelai skipped over to where he sat and claimed the spot next to him as he mentioned that they would look for prey once the rain started. Lorelai almost giggled to herself. How perfect. A downpour with a gloomy overcast sky, plus the rumble of thunder and crackle of lightning so no one could hear their victim's screams. Lorelai could not have chosen a more perfect moment. He crossed his legs, leaning back, the perfect picture of patience, causing Lorelai to smirk. What an interesting fellow - more devious than Jules, and certainly more deranged than any demon she knew. Who else could be so calm while disemboweling their victims?

He asked her about herself and she let out a light laugh that carried just a hint of mirth. "I prefer to be mysterious, dear. All you really need to know is that I am beautiful, charming, devious, and love to gut people. Are those not the only things that matter?" She flashed him a grin before turning her head toward the sky, willing the rain to come down. She needed this - to feel someone's life slip away at her behest, to taste the fear in their souls as she devoured them whole. Lightly, droplets began to drip against her cheeks, then harder, soaking her blonde hair until it hand in tangled plasters around her shoulders and chest, the kohl powder around her eyes smudging to create what she imagined must be a more sinister, insane look. Perfect. Her skin was wet and clammy, and soon her clothes were soaked through, exemplifying the curves of her body. Jaq stood as if he were a performer and Lorelai felt herself giving into the madness of their situation as he grasped her hand, pulling her up beside him and down the street, amicably, as if they were lovers.

Briefly, he stated his plan and she smiled, her eyes twinkling with dangerous perversions. "Sounds like a wonderful time." Without speaking of a plan, they both rushed to the first house, rapping against the door, Lorelai having molded her face into one that spoke of worry, cold, and a hit of sorrow, as if they were a couple in a bad situation. She wrapped her arms around herself and shivered as they waited for someone to answer, for she never knew who could be watching from behind closed curtains. No sound could be heard within and they turned to the neighbor's door. At the sound of movement after Jaq knocked on the door loudly, Jaq's face broke out in a smile lined with malice, and Lorelai fought to keep her own grin off her face, knowing that whoever lived here would soon be living in a world of torment and suffering. Locking eyes, they mirrored the same anticipation, but both of them masked it with a facade of needing help as soon as the harried woman opened the door.

Her nightdress was ruffled from sleep, folded and creased in areas and her hair was tousled. She looked slightly annoyed to have been woken up, but as Jaq fed her some bullshit tale about her being with child, to which she humbly allowed herself to look more pathetic, sympathy and worry began to etch themselves into the woman's face. Ah, mortals - so sympathetic, so willing to believe horrible lies. No wonder they were a dying species. The woman retreated to bring them something to dry themselves with, as well as prepare a hot meal for them and as the woman returned Lorelai and Jaq entered the threshold of the house, drying themselves off with the bundle of cloths she had procured for them. She beckoned for them to follow her into the kitchen, where she set about gathering pots and pans and a teapot for which to make them a meal, and Lorelai's eyes scanned her surroundings, sending out mental feelers with her magic to sense how many other bodies remained in this home. She felt the minds of four others and before Jaq could ask the woman about family or something inane question that might give them away, Lorelai grasped his hand from behind his back, drawing out the letter four on his palm to indicate that four other bodies asleep in the home.

She did not know if he would understand the message, but she had high hopes for the lost soul. Lorelai kept her gaze worried, putting on the persona of a recently-discovered pregnant woman, who had been caught out in the rain with her dear husband. If only she had worn something different, for her clothes and makeup certainly caused her to look like a common whore, but this woman seemed too worried and sleep-addled to notice the disparities in the story. Lorelai let go of Jaq's hand and caught his eye, giving a quick barely noticeable cock of her head to show him the others were upstairs. Then, she turned to the woman, and put a relieved smile on her. "We cannot thank you enough, ma'am. The storm happened so suddenly...we will surely repay you for your kindness." The words were like acid coming from her mouth - such sweet sentences, but it was needed if they wanted to lull this stranger into a false sense of security.
